Ward advocacy groups
Interested in grassroots advocacy? Cycle Toronto's Ward Advocacy Program organizes by municipal ward. You can join your Ward Advocacy Group below. Don't know your ward?
Once you've joined you will receive email alerts from the group about in-person meetings and online discussions.
Ward Advocacy Groups plan campaigns for specific cycling needs within their ward, organize community rides (like the costumed Phantom Ride for Lansdowne Bike Lanes seen at left, organized by Wards 14 & 18), develop relationships with their City Councillors, and reach out to their neighbours and local businesses for support.
Ward Advocacy Groups were instrumental in the creation of the Shaw St bikeway, starting a dialogue about bike lanes on Yonge, showing the need to save BIXI Toronto, and generating momentum for protected lanes on Eglinton.
