Refer-a-Rider 2013 ended on November 15 with 309 members recruited! Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to everyone who participated!
If each of our members convinced just one other person to join, we'd double our members! The more members we have, the stronger our voice becomes.
Starting September 16th, tell your friends, family and colleagues to join Cycle Toronto through your own Refer-a-Rider campaign page.
This year, our goal is 500 new members. Help build our organization and win great prizes!
What’s in it for me?
New this year: everyone will get entered into a draw for a bike from Curbside Cycle. Get one draw entry for each member you recruit, and they'll each get a draw entry too!
Plus get the following milestone prizes:
- Recruit 1 member and get a $10 gift card from Sweet Pete's Bike Shop
- Recruit 5 members and get the gift card and we'll renew your membership
- Recruit 10 members and get the gift card, and membership renewal, and a cool Light & Motion bike light from Urbane Cyclist Co-op!
And for our top recruiters? We have some amazing top prizes, including the coolest bikes, gorgeous panniers, and a Brooks saddle!

How does it work?
Your campaign page tracks the number of members you recruit through your page. You can recruit new members and expired members towards your total, and compare your progress to our other recruiters.
The Refer-a-Rider main page also displays a live tally of our top five recruiters and how many members they have recruited through their campaign page. This will give you an idea of how many more members you should recruit to get in or stay in the top five!
Refer-a-Rider runs from September 16th to midnight on November 15th. At the end of the contest, we'll announce the winners and get them their prizes!
If each of our members recruited just one member, we'd double in size. So create a campaign page and start telling your friends and family why Cycle Toronto matters to you. The more members we have, the stronger our voice becomes. Together, let's create safer streets across Toronto!
The program is open to members, non-members, and non-full time staff.
