Action Alert! Bike Issues at City Hall
City Hall can be a difficult place to access. Yet it's the place where most bicycle infrastructure decisions get made. We've established this page to help spread the word about relevant bike issues that need support from our members and the wider community.
Most decisions are first considered by a committee at City Hall before moving onto Council for final approval. Before any of this happens however, City staff and consultants reach out to the public for feedback through surveys and community meetings. Once a staff report is ready, it is often considered by Public Works and Infrastructure Committee (PWIC), which handles the majority of bike related items, though other committees periodically address cycling issues. Committees consider written submissions from the public and welcome deputations in person. Check out this useful guide for making a deputation.
